The Greater Park Circle Film Society continues its semi-annual event, Lowcountry Indie Shorts. This is one of the most attended events of the year, showcasing new shorts from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. David Walton Smith - A Peculiar Kind of Sickness - 10 minutes - A tired mother of an epileptic child reluctanctly allows a young, wide-eyed pastor to attempt to save her daughter from her "affliction of the Devil."

Samantha Dellenbach - Mexican Ice Cream - 10 minutes - A grossly out-of-shape boy discovers an abandoned ice cream stand hidden in the park that carries a dark surprise within.

Gary Corbett Davis - The Movie Critic - 8 minutes - A tongue-in-cheek look at serious filmmaking, interspersing a typical B movie drama with critiques by an eccentric movie critic.

Jack Alterman - Allende! - 12 minutes - Local photographer Jack Alterman trained his lens on two former Charleston artists to learn why San Miguel De Allende attracts so many Charlestonians. This doc about the colonial city built on a mountain of quartz was shot entirely on a digital SLR using still and video modes.

Marshall Bowles - Leaks - 3 minutes - Leaks explores the scandal involving the leaking of sensitive US government documents through the lens of the BP Gulf Oil Spill in this satirical news story.

Lee Waldrep - Toogoodoo - 15 minutes - After a despondent man has lost his way, he is coerced by old friends to partake in a weekend fishing trip. There, he finds himself on an unexpected journey.
