Park Circle Films will program regional portion of the Charleston Film Festival

The 3rd Annual Charleston Film Festival at the Terrace Theater is pleased to announce that the Greater Park Circle Film Society has come on board as programmer for the festival's regionally-produced films.

The GPCFS, headed by Nicholai Burton, is locally known for its semi-annual Lowcountry Indie Shorts event, which showcases SC, NC, and GA-produced short films. It will solicit all regional feature films and shorts to be showcased at this year's film festival, running from March 8th - 11th,  2012  at the Terrace Theater.

In line with a strong belief that festivals are a chance for local movie-loving audiences to see something locally made and special, there are no other restrictions on submissions. Films are allowed to have been shown at other events and
festivals.

There is no application fee, and there will be cash prizes announced for short and feature-length films, as well as guaranteed theatrical exhibition for winners.  (more on this to follow)

The goal of Charleston Film Festival's regional programming is simple: to emphasize the talent of the Southeast's best filmmakers. Shorts, Animation, Documentaries, and feature-length films will be accepted.

Submissions must have been produced in 2011. Content that is submitted for Lowcountry Indie Shorts will automatically be considered for submission to Charleston Film Festival.

The Terrace Theater, Charleston's Premiere Art House Movie Theater, will provide the optimum showcase for these films.

Application forms, and further information will be found on the Charleston Film Festival  website: www.charlestonfilmfestival.org.
